The tiny brown creeper is a rather common bird at the suet feeders in wooded lots. They are often overlooked or not seen because they blend in so well with the tree bark due to their excellent natural camouflage. They are found foraging for insects on large diameter trees and almost always start searching for food from the bottom of the tree. That way they can get a better angle to spot insects and their eggs under the bark while ascending. When the creeper works its way towards the top of a tree, it will then fly down to the base of the next tree to start foraging again. They never fly very far.
